Every year during Memorial day Lynn and I have always gone fishing, this year was no exception except one of our Granddaughter's joined us, we had to babysit her so we asked her if she wanted to go fishing and Star loves to fish so the three of us headed to Point Pleasant WV, the weather was beautiful the fishing was terrible, day one we only managed a three pound Channel caught by Lynn and nothing came off the Ohio her fish was off the Kawana river.

Day two wasn't much better but I did manage to find some fish only 6 but that's better than day one. First fish in the boat was a 12# flathead that buried my Blackhorse Custom rod.

Star then managed a 2# flathead that wasted her pink Ladyfish rod and reel

Then she was able to get into a much bigger fish and her best Flathead that Mamaw Lynn told her she could take if that rod went down, well the rod went down and Star was on it crankin away with Papaw Tim's help a 9# Flathead.

All in all we had a great time, fishing could have been much better but time on the water is what we live for, all fish were caught on fresh Shad or frozen Skipjacks.......Doc
